About Me

My name is Tena. I’m the wife of a wonderful, precious man since April, 1983. I’m the mother of two awesome, loving sons. My husband and boys are my priority.  I take care of my home, cook, bake, garden, help my husband with his business, and other various projects as they arise.  For fun, I love to vacation, spend time with my family, hike, bike, and I love amateur photography. I love my Heavenly Abba (Father), my Creator, and do my best to put Him and His Holy Word first in my life. I love people! ♥ I love helping people anyway that God desires to use me to, and it is a great desire of mine to be an encourager and share Emuna (the pure and complete faith in the Almighty) with everyone I meet.

  1. hey! Thanks for dropping by… its great to meet new people online. 🙂

  2. Hi, just dropping by.

  3. Hi Tena! I stumbled on this as I was looking up info. on the bottle trees here in Columbia. I pass by your parents’ house quite often. (I recognized it from the picture.) I never knew who lived there. Someone from out of town had asked me about the local bottle trees and I was looking up some sites for them and found your blog. The history behind the bottle trees is quite interesting, isn’t it?! Well, I just thought I’d say hi to a fellow Christian! My husband and I also have been to Maui and the Big Island, I see you guys like it there too!

  4. Wow, Angela, what a small world due to the world wide web! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting here. Maybe you could keep an eye on my parents for me. 🙂 No, they’re doing fine, but it’s nice to know that a nice Christian person like you knows where they live. And, you kind of know them, by this blog. Stop by sometime and introduce yourself, if you’d like. They are very friendly – like most people in that town. 🙂
Keep in touch! God bless you and your family!

  5. Thanks for the reply! I also know quite a few of your parents’ church members too. I’m sure your Mom and Dad know Wendy and Joe. Wendy and I go way back. And yes, the web really does make it a small world! Talk to you later!

  6. Hey, maybe this is the Angela that cleans houses. If so, she bought Jennifer’s trundle beds. Wish I had her E-mail. I could use some help cleaning my house since I’ve gotten so old – ha!

You never know, remember, it’s a small, small world. 🙂 I emailed you her email address, Mom.

  7. Sis. Tena…i finally found your blog. haha. umm, I just wanted to thank you for all of your prayers and love and support for me. You and your family have been a blessing far more than i could ever explain here, and I love you all dearly. i know I haven’t been the greatest dude lately, but I’m glad you still believe in me. it feels good to know that no matter what, no matter how dark the world is…there is still someone who cares. So keep me in your prayers, ’cause i need them.

    ~Love always…Matt

Matt, you mean a lot to our family and we will ALWAYS believe in you. And we will ALWAYS care about you. Keep your eyes on Jesus and you will make it! We will love you and pray for you forever. 🙂

  8. Hi Tena!
You do not know me, but I certainly had heard your mom talk about you many times. I knew your mother when we were both with HOL. We traveled together many times. Anyway, she just sent me a Christmas card here in France, where we live and I would love to reconnect with her by email. Can you please either give me her email address or ask her to email me? We are moving to Kansas City this year and I would love to tell her all about it. We are purchasing a lovely Bed and Breakfast.
Thanks for helping me get in touch with her!
    God Bless!
    Beverly Delugeau

  10. Just had to take the time to say “hello” to another Tena. This is only the second time in my life that I have ever seen anyone spell their name the same as mine, and for it to be a Holy Ghost filled lady makes it even more special.

    God Bless.

  11. i love your website. this is wonderful. i also appreciate the bond you and i have. and ” in His time” if not before, we will see each other again in heaven, because i’m hanging on Jesus and i know you are too. i love you.

  12. Hi Tena. I happened to come across your nice goodies which you sent to Shirley on her blog. And yes, the conversation which brought me into the picture made me what to meet you. I am glad to meet you..aka through the net. I hope to get to know you better through the writings of His Love to each other and the people out there.

Let’s keep His banner of Love lifted up. Blessings to you and your loved one.

    • Gladwell! I posted just now on your blog (about me) and THEN I saw you had posted here! Now there’s confirmation to what I said on your blog about feeling kindred! Wow! I love it. Okay, well you and I will definitely have to stay in touch and get to know each other over time. It’s destiny. 😉

Thanks for your kind words here and yes, I will help you keep His banner of love lifted!

      God bless you and yours!
