In His Time…

…there is perfect peace.

Golden Gate Park & Friends

Last Saturday I went with some ladies from our church to San Francisco.

We had a wonderful time.  The photos will tell of it. 🙂

Conservatory of Flowers in Golden Gate Park.

Plants and flowers were beautiful, but to be truthful, for me, I was more impressed with the building. 🙂

California’s first municipal greenhouse was completed in 1879.  It was patterned after the conservatory Kew Gardens, England.  A distinguished example of late Victorian style using early techniques of mass production and assembly of simple glass units.  Awesome and beautiful!

We took a walk through the park.

Ate lunch at Park Chow Restaurant.  Here we are waiting for our second floor table.

In the van, on the way home.

We made it safely, girls!  In spite of some of you getting nervous with my driving.  Don’t know why…I did miss that car…and the light was still yellow when I entered…you just don’t trust me. 😀

All photos here.

  1. Love it! You all look happy and that’s a sign of enjoyment. We are in the City but won’t be going to the Conservatory this trip but you picked the perfect time when orchids are in their glory. We picked some other sights to fill in between hubby’s doctor visits this visit, and they’ve been great too. Plus we have a Mexican restaurant in Petaluma that is wonderful, and it didn’t let us down this time either. We will get to Golden Gate’s attractions next time. Hubby’s been placed in a government research program and I think our visits will be more frequent.

    I LOVE S.F.! All of it! 😀
