In His Time…

A Different Food

While fasting, I take in no natural food into my body, but I do eat.

I eat the Bread of Life when I pray to Jesus and spend time with Him. John 6:35 – “And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.”

I eat the Word of God when I read the Bible. Luke 4:4 – “And Jesus answered him, saying, ‘It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.'”

I’m not feeding my flesh, but I am feeding my spirit. Oh, how full my spirit man gets when my flesh man is empty!

  1. Thanks for this post, Tena. We are having 30 days of prayer and fasting in our church right now and this post is so timely.

  2. Very good thought for today! I wonder how much better our world would be if we spent as much time preparing and eating the “Bread of Life” as we do the natural food? Bless you and your family!
