About Me

My name is Tena. I’m the wife of a wonderful, precious man, and have been for 28 years.

I’m the mother of two awesome, loving boys, ages 25 and 20.

I attend the Pentecostal Church in Hollister, Ca., and our wonderful Pastor and wife are Rev. Nathan and Ronda Hurst.

I’m a resident of Gilroy, Ca., and I love living here.  Hills surrounding.  Forty minutes from the Monterey Coast.  Sixty minutes from San Francisco.  Perfect weather with beautiful seasons.

I love the One and Only God, Jesus Christ, more than anything or anyone. And, I love people.

Hi Tena! I stumbled on this as I was looking up info. on the bottle trees here in Columbia. I pass by your parents’ house quite often. (I recognized it from the picture.) I never knew who lived there. Someone from out of town had asked me about the local bottle trees and I was looking up some sites for them and found your blog. The history behind the bottle trees is quite interesting, isn’t it?! Well, I just thought I’d say hi to a fellow Christian! My husband and I also have been to Maui and the Big Island, I see you guys like it there too!

  3. Wow, Angela, what a small world due to the world wide web! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting here. Maybe you could keep an eye on my parents for me. :) No, they’re doing fine, but it’s nice to know that a nice Christian person like you knows where they live. And, you kind of know them, by this blog. Stop by sometime and introduce yourself, if you’d like. They are very friendly – like most people in that town. :)
Keep in touch! God bless you and your family!

Thanks for the reply! I also know quite a few of your parents’ church members too. I’m sure your Mom and Dad know Wendy and Joe. Wendy and I go way back. And yes, the web really does make it a small world! Talk to you later!

Hey, maybe this is the Angela that cleans houses. If so, she bought Jennifer’s trundle beds. Wish I had her E-mail. I could use some help cleaning my house since I’ve gotten so old – ha!

You never know, remember, it’s a small, small world. :) I emailed you her email address, Mom.

You and your family have been a blessing far more than i could ever explain here, and I love you all dearly. i know I haven’t been the greatest dude lately, but I’m glad you still believe in me. it feels good to know that no matter what, no matter how dark the world is…there is still someone who cares. So keep me in your prayers, ’cause i need them.

    Hi Tena!
You do not know me, but I certainly had heard your mom talk about you many times. I knew your mother when we were both with HOL. We traveled together many times. Anyway, she just sent me a Christmas card here in France, where we live and I would love to reconnect with her by email. Can you please either give me her email address or ask her to email me? We are moving to Kansas City this year and I would love to tell her all about it. We are purchasing a lovely Bed and Breakfast. http://www.crescentlake.com
Thanks for helping me get in touch with her!
    God Bless!

Just had to take the time to say “hello” to another Tena. This is only the second time in my life that I have ever seen anyone spell their name the same as mine, and for it to be a Holy Ghost filled lady makes it even more special.

    God Bless.

  13. Dear Sis. Tana Clark Valenti in CHRIST.

Greetings from India. Wonderful family in the Lord. I am a saved christian, filled with the Holy Ghost and have a vision to the Lords ministry. Still I am waiting for clear cut vision. And also focusing education too.

I am a orphan, a pastor loves me at the age of 13 months. The couple, both are very precious and heard workers in the Lord. They feed me and provide education for many orphans, in a rented house. I am the elder among all orphans. They told me to go and search any job. But in India, not easy to get job with our Post-graduation or at least graduation.

I just finished 10+2. Now I am praying for B.Sc degree, to join in a low fees college. I have 4 dress, one small iron box for keeping my clothes. Have not single penny.

I need your help to change my future. One day I will be a good miniseries for the gospel. If I got any job I will do great and mighty work for the Lord. Amen. Glory goes to Jesus.

You are in earning position and I trust God pit you in a good business. You must be glorify His name and I hope “you will be in high position”. by helping orphans God will keep them in high.

He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord. And He will pay back what he has given. Pro 19:17. God bless you and I am waiting for your kind reply.

    your sister in CHRIST JESUS
